Steam Camp 2025 

Curriculum Overview

Camp Updates 

Day 1
 

Scholars were at Fox Hall and were given a presentation by one of our counselors, Mr. TK Musa and the curriculum overview by Mr. Foster.

Day 2
 

Scholars were learning and building rockets. They would use Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligene to better understand the alignment of one's critical thinking and analytical skills. 

Scholars also met with Dr. Aliyah Griffin, first Black marine biologist to achieve a doctorate degree from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2025. She discovered her passion in marine sciences at the age of 5. She delivered an inspiring presentation about the study of global environental changes with ocean coral reefs.

Day 3
 

Scholars learned about AI and how to create websites/pictures with technology at North Carolina A&T State University Harold L. Martin Sr. School of Engineering Research & Innovation Complex.

Scholars also visited the Greensboro
International Civil Rights Center and Museum to understand the importance of Justice and Freedom.

Day 4
 

Scholars built their rocket and put their rockets to the test. Scholars learned how to calculate both speed and amplitude and data was collected during launching. 

Day 5
 

Scholars got the chance to meet Chace and Sage Coke. They are the founders of "Future Path AI" and the authors of "Level up to Greatness".
These brothers, who are 15 and 13, wanted to create something that can help people find their future occupation, colleges, and majors that would be best for them. It only took them 1-2 months to create this resource.

Their book embodies the importance of having good character and value traits.

Day 6

The last day of the camp, Scholars presented to family guests about what they learned during their time at camp.

Family Day 

Family Day is an opportunity for parents and campers to connect with the individuals who help make the camp experience possible. It’s a chance to engage with staff, explore the camp environment, and gain a deeper understanding of the programs and activities that will shape each scholar’s journey
